Teams in the Indian Subcontinent have offered many great spin bowlers. Who are the best Indian spinners among them?

853 test wickets in 231 games with 43 five wicket hauls.

Their trademark was variety. No two of them were considered to be similar bowlers.

These are the stats of the spin quatret comprising Erapalli Prasanna and Srinivas Venkataraghavan(both off spinners), Bhagwat Chandrasekhar (a leg spinner), and Bishen Singh Bedi (a left-arm spinner).

I was not even born when they were playing. The accuracy of Bishen Singh bedi, the unorthodox Chandrasekhar, The flight of Erapalli Prassana and the sheer Mastery of Srinivas Venkataraghavan has few comparisons in the history of Indian cricket. I was fortunate to be born in the Era of Fab four. I just wish They were the contemporaries of these four legends.

There is an unforgotten name of Subhash Gupte who took 139 wickets in 36 test matches with 12 5 wickets hauls.

Dileep Doshi and Vinoo Mankad( greatest all-rounder India ever had) where also really good. Dileep Doshi in particular was a damn good bowler kept out of the team by the presence of Bedi and ego of Gavaskar.

The last two names I am going to take need no introduction. Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh.

Kumble's height, precision line and lengths with Harbhajan Ghule, wizzardry and sheer magic at moments have been really cherished by me.

I still sometime lament at the advent of T20 and harbhajan being the only good bowler in the odi side which led to hum losing his flight, bowling at flatter lengths just to keep the tum rate in check because the other end was leaking them.

I haven't listed Ashwin and Jadeja, because frankly for me, they are not yet in the league. Their skewed records due to their highly effective bowling in India and their over dependence on Indian pitches have made me skeptical on whether they are ever gonna make the cut to the list of the legends.

Thank you.

It's My first answer here. I hope It was satisfactory.
